In general, 80cc engines are appropriate for beginner foot launch pilots weighing 160lbs and less.  While producing less thrust, you will be rewarded with less weight on your back and a lower fuel burn.  Great choices in this category are the Vittorazi Atom 80, Polini Thor 80, or the Corsair N80.

 

The 125/130cc is also a good compromise if looking for just a bit more power.  The Polini Thor 130 Evo and the Corsair Black Bee are both good choices in this category.

 

If you are experienced, triking, or over 180lbs, we recommend the 170 to 200cc class of engines such as the Vittorazi Moster 185, Polini Thor 190 HF, or the Corsair Black Devil.

If looking for top of the line power, The Polini Thor 202 is a monster!  At 33 hp, this is about the top end for foot launch paramotor engines.  The Polini Thor 303 and Vittorazi Cosmos 300 both make great choices for use on trikes.  We recommend going with a dual start version because the larger displacement makes pull starting a bit more difficult.
